1. BUSINESS SITUATION

A global medical device company was working on a new, large-scale (30 million RMB) project. As part of the overall business case, the company needed to develop a detailed talent solutions and resource plan spanning multiple streams including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Business Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, website, and IT infrastructure.

 

2. THE SOLUTION WE OFFERED

In discussions with the client, Robert Half recruitment experts recommended the appointment of a Business Analyst to each stream. This would prove vital in determining the IT requirements for the program, and craft data-driven recommendations for relevant stakeholders.

In addition, Robert Half advised engaging a Project Manager for each stream, who would play a leading role planning the scope of projects, and the methods of execution, monitoring, and control.

By harnessing this combination of resources, Robert Half successfully sourced a team comprised of a Business Analyst, four project managers, two solutions architects, a Systems Engineer and an Infrastructure Manager.

3. CLIENT’S RETURN ON INVESTMENT

With the support of candidates sourced through Robert Half, the client’s project has been successfully implemented. In total, the project saw seven Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) consolidated into two, the implementation of a new Business Intelligence tool (Power BI), the integration of Power BI with a Geographic Information System, and a complete overhaul of website structures.

The expertise Robert Half candidates brought to the company meant the project was completed on time and within budget. Further major IT infrastructure improvements have subsequently been successfully rolled out including upgrades and improvements to helpdesks and the broader IT network.
