Protection of Personal Data Statement for Candidates

Robert Half Human Resources Shanghai Company Limited (“RHL” or “Robert Half”), its parent and/or affiliated companies (local and outside of the People’s Republic of China (“PRC”)) (collectively, the “Company”) collects (directly and indirectly through third parties) relevant information about you (through interviews, tests, CVs, resumes, references, its website and this questionnaire) such as your identity details and information about your salary, education, career, expectations, skills, personality, etc. when processing your job application (referred to hereinafter as “personal details”). Other than for purposes of processing your job application, the Company will also use your personal details for purposes relating to future employment opportunities, artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled search and match of proposed candidates with client job vacancies (“AI matching”), human resource management, complying with regulations and such other purposes directly or incidentally relating to any of the above. The Company may also use your personal details to contact you from time to time (unless you instruct otherwise) about employment opportunities for you, and for direct marketing of its products and services to you, unless you expressly state that you do not want it to do so. The Company may make your personal details available as deemed necessary by the Company, including to comply with law or if the Company reasonably believes that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the laws requiring such disclosure, (b) protect the rights or property of the Company or its affiliated companies, (c) prevent a crime or protect national security or (d) protect the personal safety of the user or the public.

By completing the separate specific consent form, you consent to the transfer, storage, and use of your personal details to related entities of the Company, government departments, regulatory authorities and/or third parties (including customers of the Company and/or, third party service providers) located in PRC or overseas for purposes relating to or in connection with your recruitment or employment, to the extent allowed by law. You also acknowledge that your personal details will be used to understand your qualifications, experience and suitability for present or future employment or provision of services. The Company may retain your personal details for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by laws. We will cease to retain your personal details when such retention no longer serves such purposes, or is no longer necessary for legal or business purposes. If engaged through the Company (if applicable), you understand and agree that processing of pay and other benefits related to your engagement may be processed by third parties in PRC or overseas. You agree that the Company may transfer your personal details to servers and databases located in PRC or overseas hosted by the Company or on its behalf.

You have the right to peruse, obtain a copy of, correct, delete and request to transfer to a third party your personal information, as well as withdraw any of your consents (including opting out of processing of your personal details by AI Matching). If you withdraw your consent, depending on the nature of the withdrawal, we may not be able to continue providing services to you.
