A company specialising in global logistics, transport, and supply chain services planned to launch a new ERP software as the centrepiece of a global project.
China was selected as the first market to deploy the new software, and the company was in urgent need of an ERP expert.
The client was seeking an ERP specialist with extensive project management experience combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. In the prevailing market, this profile is highly sought after with demand exceeding supply.
By leveraging our extensive talent network, Robert Half recruitment experts provided the client with an efficient and flexible talent solution within just 48 hours.
The recruitment consultants assigned an experienced ERP Project Manager to the client’s project team to immediately begin planning the ERP rollout in China.
Robert Half also recruited two additional ERP consultants to the company to support the ERP Project Manager.
By partnering with Robert Half in the early stages of the project, the client was able to overcome the talent shortage in the Chinese market. With the ERP Project Manager on board, the rollout project is on schedule and operating smoothly.
In addition to providing high-quality talent, Robert Half contributed to a significant cost reduction for the client that would have otherwise been spent on outsourcing.
As the company expands its ERP project, Robert Half continues to partner with the company’s business leaders to monitor the progress of the project and provide additional talent when required to support the successful completion of the project.
After signing a contract with a new partner in China, a company specialising in internet advertising required two solutions architects to assist with the technical integration of the new China-based project.
The company had very specific requirements, notably that candidates must have a full-stack technical background, the ability to solve technical problems, excellent English communication skills, and a strong business acumen.
The client set a deadline to have two suitably experienced solutions architects on their team in just one month.
After extensive consultation, Robert Half recruitment experts developed the required talent profile. The team also shared their insights on talent within the Chinese market, noting that solution architects are in high demand globally.
Mindful of the tight recruitment timeframe, Robert Half consultants leveraged our extensive database of pre-screened IT talent, our network of passive candidates, and relationships developed with former candidates across different stages of their career to source high-quality talent suitable for the roles.
To further expedite the recruitment process, interviews were conducted via a combination of in-person and virtual meetings.
Despite solution architects being highly sought after, Robert Half was able to present 15 candidates, each of whom met our client’s requirements.
This allowed the client to successfully engage two solution architects within a fortnight of briefing, halving the company’s recruitment timeframe.
The rapid onboarding of two solution architects meant the client was able to complete its project within the required timeframe.
As a result, the company has been able to expand revenue growth by securing an uplift in advertising sales. The new partnership is working seamlessly, and the technical integration for the new China-based project was fully completed on time and within budget.
A global medical device company was working on a new, large-scale (30 million RMB) project. As part of the overall business case, the company needed to develop a detailed talent solutions and resource plan spanning multiple streams including Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), Business Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, website, and IT infrastructure.
In discussions with the client, Robert Half recruitment experts recommended the appointment of a Business Analyst to each stream. This would prove vital in determining the IT requirements for the program, and craft data-driven recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
In addition, Robert Half advised engaging a Project Manager for each stream, who would play a leading role planning the scope of projects, and the methods of execution, monitoring, and control.
Recognising the scope of the project, Robert Half conducted a full talent search for business analysts and project managers. While Robert Half consultants were mindful of focusing on candidates with relevant skills and experience across each stream, focus was also given to professionals who could cross boundaries and offer support in other areas. Robert Half experts leveraged all available recruitment channels including our extensive database of talent, internal and external referrals, and other major job boards to source high-quality talent.
By harnessing this combination of resources, Robert Half successfully sourced a team comprised of a Business Analyst, four project managers, two solutions architects, a Systems Engineer and an Infrastructure Manager.
With the support of candidates sourced through Robert Half, the client’s project has been successfully implemented. In total, the project saw seven Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) consolidated into two, the implementation of a new Business Intelligence tool (Power BI), the integration of Power BI with a Geographic Information System, and a complete overhaul of website structures.
The expertise Robert Half candidates brought to the company meant the project was completed on time and within budget. Further major IT infrastructure improvements have subsequently been successfully rolled out including upgrades and improvements to helpdesks and the broader IT network.
The company now has a more efficient IT system that delivers cost savings, improved functionality, and a competitive edge that is underpinning improved business performance.
