<p><strong>The Company</strong></p><p>A world-leading retail group.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>You will be part of the China Data Technology team, building and maintaining the data pipeline layer of the China Data &amp; Analytics Platform - ensuring reliable, timely and accurate data flows from source systems to downstream consumers including BI dashboards, AI agents, data science models and business decision-makers. You work hands-on with code while collaborating across a global data organization.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong>Your skills and experience</strong></p><p> <strong>Build &amp; Deliver </strong></p><ul><li>Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest data from multiple source systems into the platform.</li><li>Implement data models (ER, dimensional modeling, data vault) to serve reporting and analytics use cases.</li><li>Develop and maintain scripts and scheduled jobs for data transformations and procedural logic.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality &amp; Operations </strong></p><ul><li>Monitor pipeline health and data quality on a daily basis; troubleshoot failures and ensure SLA compliance.</li><li>Manage and optimize cloud data components (DataWorks, MaxCompute, Hologres, OSS) including resource tuning and cost control.</li><li>Establish and maintain data validation checks across ingestion and transformation layers.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Collaboration &amp; Standards </strong></p><ul><li>Partner with business teams, other T&amp;D teams and global data teams to translate requirements into technical designs.</li><li>Conduct peer code reviews with fellow data engineers; uphold engineering standards through version control (Git), CI/CD and documentation.</li><li>Contribute to</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p> <strong>Must Have </strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.</li><li>3+ years of hands-on data engineering experience delivering production-grade pipelines.</li><li>Strong SQL and Python skills.</li><li>Proficiency with Alibaba Cloud data stack: DataWorks, MaxCompute, Hologres, OSS.</li><li>Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehouse design, and ETL best practices.</li><li>Familiarity with distributed computing concepts.</li><li>Experience with Git-based workflows, CI/CD, and workflow orchestration/scheduling tools.</li><li>Fluent in English; able to communicate technical topics with global teams.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>What's on offer?</strong></p><ul><li>A rare opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills, initiative and creativity in a rapidly growing company.</li><li>A fast-moving context, where you'll be given ownership of multiple projects backed by an amazing team.</li><li>The rewards of making a genuine impact in a corporate culture that embraces creativity, fosters innovation and offers real career progression.</li></ul><p><em>Robert Half Ltd is committed to equal opportunity and we value diversity at our company.
