You will be a business enabler, working directly with a hands-on CEO and cross-border teams. Key responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Establish legal, compliance, and IP infrastructure for a scaling industrial company.</li><li>Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements - supply chain, customer sales, technology licensing, and strategic partnerships.</li><li>Manage intellectual property strategy (patents, trade secrets), working with external counsel.</li><li>Navigate global regulatory requirements: export controls, sanctions, FCPA, product safety (UL, IEC), and environmental regulations.</li><li>Oversee dispute resolution, litigation management, and risk mitigation.</li><li>Support project finance and corporate governance as needed.</li></ul><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>What We Look For:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Background:</strong> 8-12 years legal experience. We value hands-on, pragmatic, business-oriented lawyers.</li><li><strong>Experience:</strong> Proven track record as the <strong>first legal counsel</strong> or early legal hire in a scaling manufacturing/technology company. Deep experience in supply chain contracts, cross-border commercial agreements, and basic IP management (patent filing, FTO, licensing).</li><li><strong>Export control / sanctions</strong> knowledge is a strong plus.</li><li><strong>Language:</strong> Fluent English (direct communication with German CEO).</li><li><strong>Location:</strong> Willing to relocate to <strong>Jiangsu province</strong> for the first year (social insurance can be in Shanghai).
