<p>We are seeking a dynamic Operations General Manager to lead a flagship, high-volume retail operation at a major international transportation hub in Shanghai.</p><p>Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take full ownership of the operational P&amp;L, sales performance, inventory strategy, and customer experience for this prestigious site. You will lead a robust team including Terminal Managers, Operations Managers, Loss Prevention, and IT POS leads.</p><p> </p><p><strong>Operations Management</strong></p><ul><li>Lead daily retail operations, ensuring compliance with all authority regulations, health and safety protocols, and brand guidelines.</li><li>Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams for effective inventory planning, replenishment, and availability of top-selling products, promotional materials, and samples.</li><li>Maintain the appearance and functionality of all retail outlets, fixtures, and displays, keeping in line with brand standards.</li><li>Analyze sales by store, category, and brand weekly, monthly, and annually; develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase average transaction value (ATV), and boost conversion rates.</li><li>Review and calibrate the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) to align with overall business financial targets.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Customer Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure consistent delivery of outstanding customer service through regular employee training and brand-specific coaching.</li><li>Address escalated customer issues promptly and professionally.</li><li>Implement feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement programs to enhance the customer journey.</li><li>Monitor and act on key customer experience metrics, including NPS, mystery shopper feedback, and customer perception data.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Team Leadership &amp; Development</strong> </p><ul><li>Manage staffing and scheduling to optimize coverage based on passenger and foot traffic patterns.</li><li>Build and maintain a high-performance culture focused on customer service, collaboration, and accountability.</li><li>Conduct regular performance reviews and ongoing coaching, linked directly to sales and service outcomes.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Customs Compliance</strong></p><ul><li>Foster strong working relationships with customs authorities to ensure smooth and compliant operations.</li><li>Implement controls and processes to prevent compliance violations and support audit-readiness.</li><li>Lead process improvements for inventory movement between holding areas and retail outlets.</li></ul><p> </p><p><strong>Qualifications &amp; Experience:</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 15 years of experience in retail management, with at least 5 years in a senior operations leadership role.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing landlord/authority relationships and consistently achieving financial performance targets in large-scale retail operations (annual revenue of over USD 100M).</li><li>Ambitious, results-driven, and highly reliable.</li><li>Unquestionable integrity and strong professional ethics.</li><li>Proactive with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt and learn quickly.</li><li>Creative approach to developing marketing strategies and retail promotions.</li></ul><p> </p><p> </p><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
