<table><tbody><tr><td><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Build and lead the company's global <strong>Legal &amp; Compliance function</strong>, including organizational structure, policies, governance mechanisms and operating processes.</li><li>Serve as a trusted legal advisor to the CFO, CEO and senior business leaders on major strategic, commercial and regulatory matters.</li><li>Provide integrated legal support across <strong>China, the United States and Europe</strong>, coordinating legal matters involving multiple independently operated entities and business teams.</li><li>Lead complex <strong>cross-border commercial transactions</strong>, strategic partnerships, corporate matters and major contract negotiations.</li><li>Advise on <strong>corporate governance, entity management, board matters, investments, M&amp;A and other strategic transactions</strong>.</li><li>Establish and continuously enhance the company's global compliance framework, including <strong>trade compliance, export controls, sanctions, anti-bribery and other regulatory requirements</strong>.</li><li>Oversee <strong>data privacy, cybersecurity and cross-border data compliance</strong>, including regulatory requirements across China, the U.S. and Europe.</li><li>Manage significant disputes, investigations and litigation, including coordination with external counsel. Experience in <strong>U.S. litigation and/or IP-related disputes</strong> would be particularly valuable.</li><li>Partner closely with technology, R&amp;D and commercial teams on <strong>intellectual property, technology commercialization and product-related legal risks</strong>.</li><li>Select, manage and coordinate external law firms globally while ensuring effective legal risk management and cost control.</li><li>Build and develop the internal legal team as the organization continues to grow internationally.</li></ul><p><strong>Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Significant senior-level in-house legal experience, ideally within a <strong>technology, medical device, advanced manufacturing or other IP-intensive global business</strong>.</li><li>Demonstrated experience supporting businesses across multiple jurisdictions, with meaningful hands-on exposure to <strong>China and the United States</strong>, and preferably Europe.</li><li>Proven ability to build or significantly develop a <strong>Legal and Compliance function from the ground up</strong>.</li><li>Strong understanding of cross-border commercial, corporate, compliance and regulatory matters.</li><li>Experience working directly with senior executives and operating as a strategic business partner rather than solely as a technical legal specialist.</li><li>Solid law firm training; approximately <strong>3+ years of high-quality private practice experience</strong> would be advantageous.</li><li>Experience in a leading multinational organization is highly valued, particularly when combined with subsequent experience operating in a fast-growing or entrepreneurial environment.</li><li>Experience in <strong>IP litigation, technology disputes, data privacy, cybersecurity, export controls or trade compliance</strong> would be a strong advantage.</li><li>Mature judgment, strong commercial acumen and the ability to operate independently in complex and ambiguous situations.</li><li>Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities in both <strong>English and Chinese</strong>.</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>PRC legal qualification and a U.S. Bar admission are strongly preferred for this mandate.</strong></li><li>Substantial international legal experience, including direct exposure to overseas operations rather than purely remote support from China.</li></ul></td></tr></tbody></table><p><em>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
