Our client is a French luxury brand who is spinning off from his mother company and creating a new accounting team.

The Role/职责

The main responsibility of this job is primarily responsible for GL function, especially focus on Inventory and cost controlling served as the link with financial management. The hired individual will be based in Shanghai and low level of travel may be required for this role.

Ø In charge of the monthly closure related to GL.

Ø Make proper expense accrued according to the Capex budget and latest estimation

Ø Review on the breakdown of balance sheet accounts.

Ø Participate monthly closing for all statutory reports in accordance with the closing schedule.

Ø Assist on the expenses review against with the budget and the latest months.

Ø Monitor sales, stock and achievement for each category by season on regular monthly basis.

Ø Participate in the on-going developments of in-house ERP system inventory and costing module setup. Cooperate with logistic team for the system transfer and roll out.

Ø Handle inventory movement including purchase, transfer, write-off, adjustment, and disposal in the system & accounting, and relevant analysis report.

Ø Landed cost allocation and calculation for cost of goods, including tracking of markdown sales and stock provision etc.

Ø Arrange the regular store stock-take to check the physical inventory and investigate the discrepancy to provide comprehensive reporting.

Ø Assist on inventory and pricing process review and control improvement through collaborating with procurement, store operation, and logistics. Generate and review unusual inventory and pricing variance for the follow-up.

Ø Provide tax department necessary information as needed (For example, the inventory is destructed and used as the gift and uniform).

Ø Assist on the company policy formulation in line with standard operation principle of Group, promoting best practice and standardized process implementation.

Ø Support other ad-hoc works including monthly closing, internal/external audit, and other field works assigned by line manager.

Your Profile/对您的要求

In order to be successful on this engagement, you have the following qualifications and experience:

Ø Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Auditing.

Ø Over 6 years accounting or finance related experience, previous experience in audit firm or in multinational manufacturing companies is preferred, has FP&A experience is a plus;

Ø Excellent general accounting skills and experience, good knowledge of IFRS and PRC GAAP accounting principles, activities and processes.

Ø Be familiar local tax laws, regulations and practices;

Ø Awareness of internal control principles and processes

Ø Proficient in Microsoft office software especially excel skills, has experience to build up financial module is a plus.

Ø Professional certificate holder of CICPA, ACCA, CIMA is preferred.

Ø Be familiar with ERP system, SAP and Hyperion experience is preferred.

Ø Proficient in both written and spoken English.

Behavioural Competencies:

Ø Bachelor’s degree major in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of relevant GL function experience, preferably from fashion retail industry.

Ø Operational experience in price/inventory management of ERP modules is required.

Ø Public audit experience is plus.

Ø Possess strong Word & Excel skills

Ø Effective communicator in both written and spoken English.

Ø Detail-oriented and thorough. Team players to support multiple departments while maintain high accounting standard and high integrity.
