BD Director - Payroll Service Our client is an industry expert in the professional service area. Overview:<ul><li>We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Payroll Business Director to oversee the payroll business operations for our clients' employees in Mainland China. The role will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll across China while managing a team of payroll professionals based in Shanghai and the business development of the payroll service team.</li></ul> Key responsibilities:<ul><li>Manage and oversee the payroll process for clients' employees across Mainland China, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.</li><li>Responsible for overseeing the P&L for the payroll business and proactively drive the business development for the business.</li><li>Lead and manage a payroll team based in Shanghai, providing guidance, support, and ensuring payroll is processed efficiently and accurately.</li><li>Collaborate with tax and operations team to ensure all statutory deductions, taxes, benefits, and allowances are correctly calculated and paid according to each country's regulations.</li><li>Conduct regular payroll audits and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and identify and resolve discrepancies.</li><li>Address and resolve any payroll-related queries in a timely, professional manner.</li><li>Stay updated on changes to payroll legislation in Mainland China.</li><li>Maintain proper documentation and reporting of payroll data to meet internal and external compliance standards.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments to ensure payroll processes are integrated smoothly and efficiently.</li><li>Implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of payroll operations.</li></ul> Required Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll management, with exposure to country level payroll operations in China.</li><li>Strong business development capability and experience in the related industry.</li><li>Strong knowledge of local payroll systems and statutory requirements in the countries mentioned.</li><li>Proven leadership experience managing a diverse team.</li><li>Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.</li><li>Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Proficiency in payroll software and advanced Excel skills.</li><li>High attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive payroll data with discretion.</li></ul>By clicking 'apply', you give your express consent that Robert Half may use your personal information to process your job application and to contact you from time to time for future employment opportunities.
